Are you changing from the original style grille to the new "full depth" one that was first introduced on the Sportback?

If so, you do realise that you'll need a new bonnet too?

Don't know about the wings but the bonnet is definitely, positively different as the new, deep grille is narrower than the old one was so the bonnet "cut-out" at the front where the grille fits is a different shape.

As for seeing it done, there are some aftermarket options for fitting the new grille to the old style cars but these are either totally different grilles which merely look a bit like the new style or adapt the new grille to the old bonnet shape.

Here's the ABT grille which just "deepens" the original, wider grille:

Here's the genuine new style grille fitted with a piece inserted between the grille and the bonnet to "adapt" the new grille to the old bonnet shape:

This latter pic clearly shows how the new grille is narrower and thus won't fit straight on to an old style front end.

If you're saying that you currently have the original style of grille, like the one in the pic you just posted, and that you've purchased a new-style deep s-line grille as used on current models then I'm afraid it won't fit.

The ABT one is just the original grille with some stick on bits to extend the chrome edge over the middle part of the bumper, either side of the number plate. The Hofele one uses a genuine new-style grille but adds an extra piece of plastic around it so that it fills the space left by the old grille, as you can see in the pic.
