    hello ,
as the subject. Any idea about what's wrong with my Bora 2.0 Y2000? Should I try to clean my engine using some product like gas and diesel treatment ?

    Sincerely,
    Laurence

how can you possibly come up with that diagnosis, you dont even know what car it is, what mileage on the engine, whether its stored in a warm garage or anything? .....

to the OP ... can we have a little more detail as to whats actually happening? also, if you could update your signature to include your car details that would be brilliant

Well if you read the post it is a Y2K Bora 2.0 petrol.
OP does not say it is running badly, just that it is hard to start.
Logically therefore the CTS may have failed and the mixture is not rich enough for a cold start.
The CTS is a very cheap part and is an easy DIY change, so I feel my suggestion is perfectly reasonable.

Ive had the coolant temp sensor brought up on a post i started last week. My Bora (2000 1.9TDi) is hard to start when its hot though. I must admit i was suprised this could be the cause of the prob but will have a go at changing it if the prob gets considerably worse.

    Laurence

Go for a free battery check at quickfit to confirm it's not low electrics causing your problem or faulty altenator and how about your service details, how old is your oil&filter/airfilter/petrol filter/sparkplugs and the condition of your rotor&distributor cap and ht lead's(if applicable) For a 2000 bora your fuel should be fine and some treatment products can destroy your catalytic convertor(lot's of money£££££££££££)
