I'm reminded daily by the o/h

Yes i have to look daily - hooked you might say.

what i've noticed is that its nearly always the same people that use the any old rubbish section, that vote in polls, that also have a post count of 200+ and others are catching.

I browse the forum and notice that when i view other areas such as a4 and eos as an example, posters that are in these areas don't ever seem to appear to use the any old rubbish or chat about cars sections.

In short, some users only seem to go the the areas of the forum that are specific to them or their car.

I could look down the list of members and by user name alone, pick out the most active.

This is merely an observation and not a critiscism. What if we could get them involved?

thanks A8. i hope my comments didn't put a too serious a tone on your likely intended, light hearted thread.

As you say, if these 'closet' members visited the wider forum, 'things' may move at a faster pace.

these are the hardened members the top 30 posters

and others from page 2 are catching quick. although it is not a race.

    yes but not easily,
Basically, the latest i heard was it not working as it should be. However, if a member posts something that someone else finds interesting or helpful then they can add to this persons rep, kind of like ebay feedback.

to add to someones rep click on the button that is the middle of the 3 next to the button that indicates if you are on line or off line.

try it on mine if you wish

got to that link again and click the feedback button at the top so to sort the members by feedback - i'm 2nd.

    wasn't expecting that.
