How do I get the code for VW Polo Radio Cassette Player???

Hi all, please help! I bought a second hand VW polo last year that came with a radio cassette player but I never received a leaflet about the radio cassette player or the codes and I need it now!. How can I get it???

Just go to your nearest VW dealer and take your V5 doc and your drivers licence. With all the infomation on the V5 about your car they can get the original code the car came with (just hope that it was not changed) in minutes.

You will need to take your car in to a VW dealership along with proof of ID & ownership of the car. With the radio being wired into the cars electrics they connect your vehicle to their VAS 5052 diagnostic computuer, pull up the serial number of the unit, then using the direct link they have with VW the radio code is sent back. Usual charge for this is around £10 + vat.
