2000 Allroad Auto prob

Howdie folks.

Audi Allroad with the auto/tiptronic box.

When im in top gear and accelerate it sometimes jumps to 4th then back to fifth then back to fourth and so on

Is this the symptom of something serious?

Have you vag-com'ed it?

It sounds like its struggling to tell whether you want it to kick down or not, which is all done electronically so maybe its thrown a code or two?

could be the speed sensor, you realy need to get the codes read, or else you will never be sure.
