    Got an issue with the rev counter on my 2005 gti.Sometimes sits at 800 rpm others at 900 rpm.car has been running for a while and up to temp.thanks

    I would say its normal. It probably runs a bit faster when the aircon fan or/and engine fan is running to prevent the engine stalling with the extra load.
