will this fleebay cable work on my 2003 a4 avant 1.9 se?

Hi there,

(i have looked at other posts before posting this - but as i'm very new to this i'm not quite sure what i'm looking for).
Do you guys know if i can use the following cable for my audi A4 avant 2003? can I user the free version of ross-tech's vag software to do anything useful with this cable - like reset service light etc(what will resetting the light do for me anyways?)

With the fleaBay cable, it may work or it may not. The seller may not be interested in spending much time on support. Eshrules will help you if you have problems getting up and running, so pays yer money to 'im... he's a top bloke.

I purchased one of these cables, only to discover they wouldnt fully work - then again ots back to the 'you get what you pay for' senario So, off i went in search of the 'Genuine' stuff..

I was then put in touch with ross-tech in america, and bought the genuine stuff through a uk distributor and hey presto - it worked first time, i get the updates and no more problems. I think it was about £300 all in, for the pro kit with box and ill never look back at biting the bullet and going the 'genuine' root

thanks everyone. PJJOHNST what do you mean it didn't fully work? from what i've read this will support my a4 avant 2003 but if i want full function i need to buy the licensed software from ross-tech?

anyways if my cable doesn't work i will (depending on cost) buy from Eshrules.
