    Default Driver's door mirror replacement? – 21-08-2008,10:20 PM
    After 3 weeks of adjusting successfully (or so I thought) that my new A4 is a tiny bit wider than my old car, I misjudged it by a couple of inches on a narrow lane today and went mirror-to-mirror with an oncoming car

    After popping the cover back into place, the only visible damage is a hairline crack to the lower plastic casing... and two large cracks in the mirror itself. The motor, as far as I can tell, still works fine.

    So the question is, is it possible to replace just the mirror (on cost and simplicity grounds, obviously)... and if so, how do I go about it?

    just replace mirror 12 quid from euro car parts pull old broke one off they just clip back in 2 min job

    Does it literally just unclip by pulling? What about the heater element?

    The heater element is wired to the back of the mirror glass, it just unplugs.

    the element is in the mirror so just unplug and plug new 1 in its that easy
