    Hi,

Can anybody confirm if the new 3G iPhone will fit into the iPod socket that comes in the arm rest of the Golf Match?

    Cheers

It would fit, but it would only allow you to use it for music playback and possibly charging, the phone function wouldnt work.

Cheers - yes it was just for the iPod function that I was interested, not the 'phone.
I read somewhere that it was slightly larger then the standard iPod, but only by a few millimetres.

Hi - for anybody interested ...

I can confirm the 3G iPhone doesn't fit in the armrest iPod socket - the phone is too wide.

    Cheers

Sorry I didnt realise the iPhone 3G was wider than the non-3G (which I have), as that definetely fits into the slot. Must be a very small difference between the two I guess.
