I own a Audi S3 on a 2000 and went for a long drive yesterday 300miles, everything was fine, stopped for a couple of hours started again no problems drove home. This morning it started fine put my foot on the clutch and it just dropped to the floor i pulled it up and it did it again, I switched the car off and tried again still just drops, any ideas????

The car is still under dealer warranty from the RAC if it is a major problem

have a look in the footwell for broken bits.
Clutch pedal failure is common on the TT, which is the same car (but in a posh frock)
A welded bracket is the usual failure.
Get a new pedal and keep the old one but get someone to weld up the old one as a spare.
    here's an interesting thread

Okay up date to this strange happening when i went to get the car to the garage the clutch was working but biting very low and seemed to fade as we neared the garage, now the garage reckons there is no problem after they took it for a drive, could it be a faulty hydraulic pump or anything????????????????

Good to see a fix that you don't have to pay for.
