Screenwash warning lamp on in B5 S4.
Refilled, then 'OK' came up for a minute, then back to warning lamp again.

Assuming leak, loose connection, switch/sensor problem?

    What should I check first?

    Thanks!

Check there isn't a pool on the floor. Was it freezing? as when its low the sensor may have frozen, but should defrost with a refill. Try hot water.

If not it may a sensor problem.

Thanks for prompt reply. No apparent pool, and always seems to be plenty in the reservoir in spite of warning light, but will try warm water first, as it has been flipping freezing recently.

Is replacing sensor a big job? Perhaps access is tricky. Assume it's not too expensive....can I do it myself?

Is your screenwash bottle in the inner wing? This is where mine is, but I have a B6 avant diesel. I've not checked, but I'm pressuming that you have to get at it by removing the splash wheel arch liners. Shouldn't be to big a job, would have to remove the wheel aswell.
