    Hello pepes

i have a small problem with an OFF SIDE front drive shaft on an AMK

the full front sub frame and engine was fitted along with the transmission into a MK4 Golf.
The off side drive shaft does NOT have the large nut on the outside like the nearside does and i need to replace it.

SO does anyone have a PART NUMBER for an off side drive shaft for a 2000 Y plate AUDI S3 that has a 16-17mm inverted bolt on the end and NOT a nut.

we have part of the part number but as of yet failed to get the correct part from AUDI

the last 7 digits read 407 311 E and that is all we have

ANY help in this matter would be great as we are a little stuffed at the moment so you people are my last hope

    MANY thanks
    Andy

Have just been searching through ETKA, and your number isnt recognised....Dont know if it is any help but the offside driveshaft part number for the S3 AMK according to ETKA is
    1JO 407 452 LX
But looking at the diagram it also has the nut at the end, not a bolt???
Some of the golf diagrams have the bolt, but nothing with that part number.

    Sorry Mate, good luck!

i think it is the 272 E but if it is wrong then it is a 60 quid charge as we have already got it wrong once LOL
i have been glued to ETKA all day with no real joy

    THANKS for the help
