Has anyone on here upgraded the interiors of their golfs to look like the r32's with the aluminium trim etcs that you can find on ebay.
The parts cost a fair bit, for the aluminium console, door handles, pedals, foot rests etc. i was tempted but wondered if it was really worth it?

anyone got any opinions or any experience of actually doing it?

i suppose it all boils down to how much you want to customise and personalise your car... yes they look nice, but i can think of better ways to spend a few hundred quid than putting silver bits inside my car LOL its each to their own i guess, but be aware, it will not necessarily add value to your car...

I don't think it worth it. I saw a company once that sells whole chrome/wood/carbon sets for car interiors. They literally send you something to stick on for every bit of your dash in the car! My opinion is its not worth it, the novelty of it will wear of in a week and as eshrules said, that few hundred £££ could be better spent elsewhere..

i dont think the OP is referencing the self adhesive kits, it is possible to get the r32 interior parts, such as the pull handles, the handle grabs, dash components, etc etc.

I know.. My mate had the aluminium dash in his car and the paint chipped off from around the sterio and driver door handle, unless the trim for the R32 is actually real aluminium then i take back my comment...

the ones he refers to i presume are the OEM parts, i cant see these wearing too easily as there would be a lot of unhappy r32 owners?

yeah it is the OEM parts, i found the OEM interior trim, door handles, pedals, foot rest and gear knob. all genuine parts.

Just curious as to whether anyone had any experience with buying them? i have seen the silver sticky kits you can buy for about a tenner, but i would stay well clear of them, besides looking tacky, i can imagine me getting a big bubble right in the middle
