The cruise control on my A8 has started to speed up on its own, it starts off fine then after a few minutes begins to increase. Any ideas as to the problem/cure?, I do a lot of motorway driving so use it frequently and its become really annoying!

    Hi there,

I would hazard a guess at the cwitch being faulty and having worn out. As it's only a simple switch if there is contact it'll think you're trying to go faster.

Best way to check is to get VCDS on the car and monitor the cruise switch outputs to see if it spuriously starts activating.

If that is the cae then a new switch will be required.
