    hi i have a mk2 golf gti which i have shapped the driveshaft in two i am looking for another driveshaft secondhand will a 1.8 golf driver fit as i have seen one on e bay i am really not sure or if any one has one i can buy send me a price

    A 1.6 Driver has 90-mm inner CV’s and a 1.8 100-mm inner CV’s so there should be no problem with the fleaBay one.

    anyone of you got a spare outer cv joint left,a mate of mine needs the inner bearing holder and the plastic washer,if so can you email me on clayhea@yahoo.co.uk,cheers

    The plastic thrust ring as it is known is VW part number 321 407 295 A and costs 29p. If by the inner bearing holder you mean the cage then they are not easily swapped, it is almost impossible to rebuild a CV as the 6 balls, 6 inner surfaces, 6 centre surfaces and 6 outer surfaces tend to form a bind boggling number of permutations, someone good at maths will be able to tell you how many.

    im lost mate ive got 4 of them here and iv stripped all of them down and rebuilt them and theyve all gone back together,did you mean theyl go back together but not correct??cheers 4 the part number by the way ill pass it on

    i doubt that dude,alls i did was push one side of the bearing holder in and the middle bit too so the bearing was sticking out,then pop the ball beaing out of the holder,repeat this for all 6 then turn the holder 90 degrees and rock it out,then do the same fot the middle bit,ill try do some pics if that helps
