LHD coupe

I am looking at buying a LHD audi 2.3 quattro 20v coupe, thats currently registered overseas, as a vehicle for running back and forth to my other halfs relatives. I understand to register it in the uk, you need the UK lights and the Speedometer has to read in MPH - will changing the clocks from a UK car work ? also a certificat eof conformity?? - Has anyone experience of converting and registering an import into the uk
