    there are two kits.
    single din and double din.
The single din requires the ipod kit fitting to the cd changer multi plug and if you have a 6 disc changer you will need to remove the existing pins where as the double din just requires the cd multi changer plug removing from the quad lock or if no cd changer then you can just push the hole connection into position on the quad lock and also bridge into the radio unit earth. You need the radio removal tools and electrical pin removal tools plus a drill and cone cutter and 8mm socket.

Hmm, should I get the Audi dealership to do it or give it a go myself?

Well i cant say i blame you as if you have to buy the tools and your only doing one then its easier to sit in the reception drinking a nice cup of tea while they fit it for you

Argh! I called the Audi dealership and they say the promotion is only open to people who were given a voucher (which I don't have!). They've quoted me £252 which is too rich for my blood I'm afraid.

I saw the kit on ebay the other day between £50-£100 and there's a local guy I trust who can fit it for around £40. Problem is the one on ebay is now gone and to be honest I don't even know which kit to buy. My stereo is the Audi Symphony with BOSE sound system. Not sure what connectors it has but the car is an A3 2.0 TDi Sep 2005 (facelift model).

Question: Which kit do I buy and can you possibly link somewhere online that I can buy the genuine Audi part to then bring to the local guy to fit.

    Thanks for your help
