I'm looking at a few T4 2.5TDI with view to buying, can anyone tell me the differance between the red 'I' and the blue 'I' in the VW range?

Also, how long should the Glow plug dash light stay on for?

    Regards

as i understand it the blue I means that its a 88 bhp and a silver I means that its a 102 bhp it's easy to check as the 102 has a intercooler on top of the engine
as for the red I that is found on cars and t5's and i think it means they have a different style of engine (pumpe duce )

Warm day and or warm/hot engine the glow light should come on briefly when the ignition is switched on, but go out almost immediately. Cold engine or winter time light should stay on for about 2/3 seconds. The light will stay on for longer the colder it is.
