hi guys, a friend of mine recently added black stripes onto his red '92 mini and it looks amazing, proper good job. alll he reckons he did was to spray the black paint and go over it with wet + dry paper. can anyonw give me a few hints on how to add some colour to my bodywork?

the golf is silver and i wouldnt mind the silver + blue stripe style from the classic Dodge Viper

edit - didnt mean this to show up as a how to, just need some advice! tah.

i just did some fiberglassing on my boot, and sprayed it, i think it looks mint. The best way i think would be to tape off where you want your strips to be with masking tape and newspaper and then create your line. Then wet and dry your line carefully. then spray your coloured line, give it 6-7 fine coats on a warm day and you will be run free.

Dont lacquer it on a warm day tho, if lacquer drys to quickly it will make the paint look dull/flat.
