Not to my knowledge... there are no Bora's that cannot have coilovers fitted... if there is I would be very suprised but I am led to believe all Bora's have the same well basically same suspension set up

As far as I'm aware the suspension setup is the same as the Mk4 Golf, would have thought Crasher would know if there's any difference (he supplies and fits suspension kits).

The MK4 Golf / Bora platform does not allow you to fit a pure coil over setup on the rear by virtue of the design of the rear axle (unless things have changed in the last few years since I got rid of my MK4 Golf).

You can still fit separate uprated springs and dampers though which will give you a drop in ride height and tighten up the handling. You'll probably get separate springs and dampers for the rear even if you buy a coilover kit btw.

Also consider fitting a separate rear anti roll bar on the rear as well. It transforms the handling.

The suspension kits are supplied with a seperate rear coil and and height adjustable platform for the spring to sit on as the Mk4 setup. You also have to fit an extended/adjustable drop link setup for the front or uprated anti roll bar to stop the driveshafts and suspension legs fouling if the car is lowered more than about 30-35mm.
See the thread on lowering Mk4's by andy_c_v from last night.
