Hi all,

I've got a Passat 130, 2001 6 speed, engine code AVF.

For a while now I've been experiencing the clutch juddering when pulling away in 1st gear - only happens now and then but when it does it makes the car almost undriveable. I've had the clutch and dmf changed to try to sort this out but it is still happening - prior to the new clutch etc it used to happen in very hot weather, after new clutch it seems to happen first thing in the morning for the first few miles.

I found the following info on tdiclub.com:

Check out one of the posts made by Huweth which points to a problem with the transmission bearings not being sufficiently greased. Anyone heard this before? If so, how easy is it to sort out?

Starting to get a bit p*ssed off with the car right now, seem to be throwing more and more money at it Looks like the £600 odd quid for the clutch and dmf was wasted.

Extremely grateful for any more pointers.

Cheers,
Dave.
