Hi folks,

Just had the DMF and clutch replaced on my 2000 1.9TDI Bora 90hp.

The guy who fitted the parts advised me that my front discs and pads were worn and would need replacing for mot.

A few days after I had the ABS light illuminate and the red display said 'ABS Fault'

I carried on driving as everything seemed fine. The ABS light stays on continously now.

The other day I got a brake fault along with the ABS fault.
SO now I have 2 faults and the display reads 'Brake Fault' 'stop' and beeps at me.

So far I have still been using the car as the brakes are fine.

Ive topped up the brake fluid level and the fault is still there.

What do you guys think? should I put new pads on and a new abs sensor(s) and see if it goes away or get the fault code read?

If I need the code reading will it be cheaper to buy the leads and get the software and read it myself rather than having VW or similar specialist read it?

I have searched thru the forum under 'ABS fault' and looked at all the posts so I hope you dont think I am posting for the fun of it.

Any advice much appreciated - cheers.

PS brakes feel fine am I ok still driving it with the 2 fault mentioned above?
There is still meat left on the pads.
