    i ve had my car serviced today a4 2003 2.0ltr fsi, but the service indicator hasnt been reset , is there a way to do this without taking it back ?

    hi mate

    im not sure if the below works on a 2003 model but worth a try, worked on my 99 a4. you may also find that you can also reset the oil service as well as the service.


    Turn off the ignition
    Press and hold the button on the left side of the display while turning the ignition on
    Service OIL will be displayed
    Pull out the button on the right side of the display until the service prompt is cleared
    The display should now read ---

    If the above procedure does not work, outlined below is an alternative procedure:

    With the ignition off, push the right button
    Turn the ignition on and then pull the left button
    This should clear the warning message

    Should this work on a 2000 Facelift A4? I am having no luck.

    EDIT: This worked for me.

    Argh paste not working on Pocket PC. Will edit later.

    Hi Can any 1 tell me know i can reset my VW passat 1.9 TDI service indicator. I have got a vag com cable but not the software to reset the service indicator.
