I need to replace an injector on my A6 AJM PD engine..The ones I should use are 045 130 073 T or X...I have been offered 4 injectors with the part number 045 130 073 AL...I think these are from the higher 96kw engine. Would it make any difference if I used them in my 85kw engine. TIA

Hi, AJM has a lower compression ratio 18:1 and AWX/AVF has a 19:1 compression ratio. As far as i know, the only difference between 115 PD and 130 PD are the injectors and more agressive ECU fuelling maps so they may smoke a bit at the beggining while ECU learns how to ballance/control the injectors but you deffinatelly will love the power ! Also a wise move if you consider a remap/chip tuning then upgrading the turbocharger from a pd 150(straight swap only need to buy a 20 quid rubber hose to conect outlet to IC pipe). Do a search on tdiclub.com as they have done that beffore also look for more advice.

Where are the injectors on a PD engine (AJM)?
I had a scout around the other day and couldn't see them. Do the PD engines have the 4 injectors like say an AFN does?

Hi mate, the injectors on the AJM engine are: 038 130 073 F
I have a set of 4 if you are interested. Only removed them as part of an upgrade from my own car. Give me a call on 07771895084 if you want them.

    Cheers Dave

Remove the rocker cover, the injectors are sat under the 4 cam driven rocker arms. See my posts for a link on how to swap them.

Cheers for that. I'd looked under the bonnet again the other day and still couldn't see them.
I was going to get them refurbished or replace them but it looks like too complex a job for me after reading that procedure. Don't really trust myself to do anything that involves opening the engine up. Looks like it'll be Redex for me!
