I do 5K a year, if that. Most of my servicing is done because Ive reached a certain date, not miles! So 20K ish after 4 years. My two year old BMW currently has 8K miles on it and just had its first oil and brake fluid. Dealer was amazed

4 Years as its a lease car. Always like the idea of buying the car afterwards but normally something new out that I will like then, such as a B9!!

I plan to exchange mine at 3 years (when I finish paying for it).

The estimated value at that age is 48% which might equate to someting like £12k.

Any older and this figure diminishes quickly.

So to get another new car, 3 years is the target.

Things are bit different around here. For example I managed to sell my old Mazda 6 for about 52% after 5 years and I hope (I read it somewhere) that Audi's price is even better, about 56%.

Mine is leased for four years. My current late 2004 B6 is approaching that now with 122k in the clock.

3 years on the dot, as it's leased.. UNLESS!

    1) I hit 30k miles and I see about sending it back or pay excess mileage.
    2) Something really shiney comes out
