i just wondered if there is an easy way to identify which gearbox type your car has? mine is an a4 cabriolet 2003, bfb engine.

should it be in your car documents somewhere? or do i need to look for a label in the engine bay or something?

    many thanks

    If it has a clutch - it's a manual

    If it doesn't - it's an auto

    You're welcome

Sticker in spare wheel bay normally. Three letter code like the engine but as far as I know, the engine one will start with the letter A.
