Hi all,got a prob i cant diagnose its a clunking noise from the front of the car when accelerating, turning, braking, and turning the steering wheel from lock to lock when stationary. At first it sounded like front subfame mounts but these are ok i then checked the wheel bearings for play which is non existent having said that ive had bearings with no play before and the bearing fell to pieces when the hub came off, driveshafts seem ok and every suspension arm and drop link was replaced 6 weeks ago i am flumixed

I will check it out but this is a more lower down clunking noise but you never know the way clunking sounds travel ta m8

hi eddiethat sounds like your two bottom wishbones, especially the rear one. quite hard to feel the play at the early stages.

Try the large round nuts for securing shock inserts
If they are not tightened fully they can produce noise like you describe. Tightening may be possible with stilson through springs. Also check power steering ram mounting for tightness

    Hate to say this.
I had a cluncking when full lock, when I had the, Alternator pulley fault. Same belt as steering power.
Some people had had the pulley mis diagnosed as steering rack etc etc etc.
    Check the pulley.
