    Hello,

First serious post on here. I've got a 2001 Passat 1.8T. its in very good condition externally and internally. I.ve had the car since feb and although it came with full service history and 57k mileage its being a bit of a pain.

Car runs ok, but the dashboard loves to speak to me!!!

The emissions light came on a couple a weeks ago. I noticed under the bonnet that a vac pipe had split. Not sure if this logged a fault. Changed the pipe but fault light still on. Then....

battery died, changed battery, emission light gone but came back after apprx 100 miles. Then.....

Today the Airbag fault light has come on!!! Most annoying, airbags have not been deployed, no record of previous smash. And......

Drivers window gave up a cuple of days ago. Intermittantly winds down, always goes back up!

Anyway, rant over. I've included a couple of pics. Personally at present i believe that the ECU is playing up? Could be wrong but i dont believe what the dash board is telling me. So....

Anybody got any ideas? Is it a case of put it into the garage and get faults read\ cleared. Buy my own VAGCOM to clear faults\ beat car with stick to teach it a lesson. Seems a shame that its got these little niggles!!

I've attached a couple of pics, hope they show up! One shows the vac pipe changed, its the pipe with the 90' bend, and the other two show the dashboard annoucements, ingore the windscreen wash top up, i think thats genuine!
