HELP... I own and my wife drives a 2005 Alhambra tdi Stylance, I sold my last Sharan and bought this. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that the car was leaking water into the drivers side footwell. I removed the wipers and the plastic panel and the "scuttle drain hole" on the offside seemed clear when I poured water down it. Has anybody got any ideas.

I also have a problem with the rear washer jet. The pipe to this has come off inside the rear door, does anybody know how to remove the rear tailgate trim panel.

had this problem on my sharan, you have answered your own question re water in footwell, remove the kick panel on the passenger side under the dashboard adjacent to the A pillar, remove the trim that runs along the cill inner, under this trim you will find a wiring loom in the middle of the loom is the rear washer pipe!! (yes in with a wiring loom) follow this loom up towards the front of the car, where it dissapears into the bulkhead, there should be a join in the washer pipe, this usually where it comes apart allowing contents of washer bottle to empty into car when you operate rear washer

I've just stripped out all the trim around the little side window on the off chance and poured at least 7 watering cans of water around the top corner of the windscreen and not a drop came in. I managed to lift the carpets and they were sodden wet through. I've checked the drain holes in the scuttle panel on either side and these are clear and running freely into the wheelarch areas. I know this was a problem on the MK1 versions. I am now at a complete loss....

I was getting water into the passenger footwell and trawled tinternet to find that most people reckoned the water was coming in through the pollen filter. Checked all this but to no avil.

What I did find though was that there is a piece of trim on the outside in the bottom corner of the window (Wiper goes through it on the passenger side) that fixes by two plastic clips straight into the pillar. The car has had the problem before i bought it and low and behold there was a load of old silicone sealer around these clips.

I tried pouring some water down these holes and straight away it went into the chasis leg and up into the footwell. Dont know if it could be the same on the drivers side???

I know the trim panel you are refering to. It does clip to 2 plastic clips but these seem to be clipped to the bottom of the windscreen. I'll have another look tomorrow. "MATMCN" Was yours a MK1 or MK2 Sharan as mine is a MK2 and this trim could be fitted differently.

I've had the same problems with water leaks into my passenger footwell over the last 8 - 10 months. I thought it may have been the drain holes blocked, cleaned them still water getting in. Then windscreen cracked when the car was parked up over night. Hoping that this might be the problem I wasn't too disapointed, new windscreen, still water leaks. As a total stab in the dark I took the plastic arch from inside the inner wing in case that was blocking water flow. One month on no water leaks, car dried out. I dont't know what I've done but it seems to have done the trick.
