My rear wiper, brake light and boot lock is not working, i pulled back the right hand rubber sleve (looking from the back) that the wires run through from the body to the boot lid and discovered 3 wires not connected, i didnt know at the time but these were:-

Brown - Power for central locking
Blue & Green - central locking remote leads

I reconnected using solder and bob's your mothers brother, the boot lock works again.

Brake light and rear wiper still not working though, checked on the other side in the rubber protection sheath (sounds like a jonny) and cannot see any faulty wiring so maybe the motors gone?

Does anyone know how to get to the motor and how to check its working?

My rear motor stopped working and when stripped it was full of water and all remains of grease had gone rock hard. Cleaned it up, including the brushes for the motor, regreased everything and it now works fine. Bad design really though. The water gets in too easily, and the drain tube provided is very narrow and so gets blocked up easily.

To get to the motor, you have to remove the plastic moulding from the tailgate. Not easy, but manageable if you take your time and don't rush it.
