    hi i own a 2.0tdi sline avant 57 plate.its just been in for a modified clutch plate to stop judder from cold ,which it hasn't.has anyone else had this trouble after mod clutch .many thanks

    The thinner clutch centre plate has fixed 100% of the complaints i have dealt with.
    However the old clutch cover requires resetting for the new plate and if this isnt carried out the judder will continue unless you have a different cause.

    many thanks a8 tech ill have to visit the garage again then to see whats up. i must say im concerned with the idea of a thinner clutch .is that just thinner due to construction or friction material ,eg is it going to last as long . many thanks

    There is no issue with the service life of the modified centre plate

    hi all
    just a quick line to say car has now had clutch pack and dual mass flywheel ,seems to finally done the trick .
