    Just bought rear pads for my mk4 golf any hints or tips for changing them? Iv heard they can be a pest and seize?

    You will need a wind back tool to retract the piston into the caliper

    Only use the self adhesive backing on the outer pad, check the piston boots for splits, especially the right hand side.

    Cheers,

    Done the job but what a pain!! Had to loosen off the bleed nipples then it took some force to wind the piston back in.

    Hope thats it for another 70k

    70k!!! I don't think so. I have a 150 pd MK 4 and I've changed my pads twice and discs once. The wind back tool is essential. The inner pads goes quicker than the outer ones.
