I have a JVC KD-G162 head unit , that worked fine in my last car, but wont even power on in the new car.

the old head unit has the iso connectors plug direct ibto the head unit, whereas my new one ( KD-G162 ), THE ISO CONNECTORS ARE PLUGED INTO a extension.
on back of new head unit the socket looks like this [..........] so i cant take off the extension and pug in directly as the old one had two boxes of iso connect.
sorry if this isnt that clear, but if any1 can help

    regards

First thing to establish is what car this is.

Secondly, if it's not ISO standard, you'll need an adaptor which from your description it sounds like you already have.

So, let us know what car this is, and we'll try and help.

OK older Audi's sometimes did not have an ignition fed live, only a permanent live. It's possible your new JVC won't like only having the one supply. Any chance of posting some pictures of the extension loom that's in the car?

Also you have only given us one model number for the JVC - which is the old one which is the new one?

My next question was going to be the same - pictures of the looms and a model number of the old HU.

    We'll get there soon!
