    Hi,

I've linked up my snap-on scanner and an ELM type interface to my OBD port but it's not communicating, or so the different readers tell me.
It only looks as if pins 4, 5, 7, and 16 are wired to this OBD port and am wondering if I have a break in the K or L line (pin 7) since I get earth readings on 4 and 5 and battery voltage on 16 ?
Does anyone know where the comms wire goes to (pinwise on the ECU on a (2.5 petrol AET engined) Caravelle 1997, oh and whereabouts the ECU is, on a long-nose caravelle please ?

    Many thanks

    Olly

Try a real scan tool before you do any more checking...

Im not sure what key it is, it should tell you on the scanner. Your van is not OBD2 (EOBD) compliant.

Cool, I reckon it's S-25 in that case. As for not being OBD-2 compliant, that makes sense as there's only a K-line wired from what I can see.
I'll give it a go during daylight hours and report back.

    Many thx for the support
