Just changed engine on a B5 passat 1.8 20V APT, everything is okay and the car is working. But I have a few niggles

1: The donar engines sump didn't have an engine oil connector for the dash and we didn't realise till after the engine was in and the job was almost complete. The car works but it warns about oil sensor when you start the car up. There's a lead with 3 holes in it for the connector from the old sump, I assume if I short 2 of the wires the car will think the oil is topped up, any ideas which ones to short?

2: The external heat sensor is now out of whack by about 10-15 degrees, I assume the sensor is now possibly out of it's holding clip and thus hanging too close to the engine?

Any ideas why the sensor would be out of whack, is my assumption correct about it being out of the holding clip possibly and if so where is this sensor located?

Thanks in advance
