    I know, sorry another question about smelly aircon, i've replaced the filter, and checked about for leaves/debris in the plenum chamber, all ok, still very smelly and musty! now local motor factors want to sell me a can of deoderising spray, he reckons that'll sort it out. what you reckon' i've never heard of this stuff before its called PURATISE. anyone ever used this method cheers

    I have not used it myself but have heard good things regarding
    these can deodouriser.
    A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)

    yeah cheers mate i've searched the site a few people have tried and had good results, so i think i'll have a go and buy a can, gotta be better than smelling urine whilst driving, its so bad even my 2 year old complains about daddys smelly audi car!!! thanks for your reply i'll post back news

    Lidl was selling something like that last week for £1.49 a tin. I used it on mine and worked really well...

    Yes the Lidl stuff works quite well. I bought some last week at £1.49 a can. Buy a couple of cans as if it is seriously smelly they say you may need to do a repeat treatment.

    Have you changed the pollen filter yet had the same problem it cured mine.

    I used a deoderising spray, worked well for 2 weeks to cover the smell, but then back to smelly car.

    Had a proper air con service done, where they treat your system and all is good again now.
    Just another B7 Estate

    I had the same problem. A horrible "eggy" smell whenever I drove the car. Very embarrassing when you have passengers!!

    To cure it on mine I changed the pollen filter and used the CarPlan Kleen Air Air Conditioning Cleaner product. You basically turn the aircon on recirculate at full power, put it in the footwell of the car and set it off spraying and then leave it for ten minutes to do it's job. Cost about £6 off ebay. Smell disappeared the next time I drove the car and not returned after 6 weeks.
