I have recently purchased a set of 18” wheels from an 08 s-line Quattro for my 2003 2wd A4 avant tdi130. The hub diameter on the Quattro is bigger, does anyone know where I can get some spacers to allow the wheel to sit on the hub tightly?
Is it important for the wheel to fit tightly around the hub?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    Hi Robbo,

Try Demon Tweeks, they do some spacers!!

not sure about the tightly round the hub part, I guess the bolts should hold it tightly against the hub so around it may not be so important, but the guys at Demon Tweeks will be able to let you know as they'll have done this a million times for various cars!!

Just watch that the spacers don't push your wheels out past the arches.

sorry to butt in,but i'm needing to do the opposite-i bought a quattro a few months back and of the star alloys is scuffed and i have seen plenty of single wheels for sale on flea-bay.basically what i need to know is do the wheels from a 2 wheel drive fit a quattro or are they going to be annoyingly hard to get hold of?

    cheers, kip

    Hi Kip,
Yeah I guess you've got the same problem. The thing with e-bay is no-one really knows what the wheels they are selling actually fit. The PCD and offset give you a good idea but nothing is mentioned about the centre hub.

I've got a 2wd A4 with 17" sport wheels and a set of new 18" s-line wheels from an 08 quattro. The best I can do is to advise you they are signifcantly different and the 2wd wheels would not fit the quattro centre hub. (Quattro hub is much bigger).

If that's not too confusing. I'd always ask the question to ensure the wheel came from the quattro model.

I can get spigot rings and spacers made up if you need. all custom made for the car rather than generic ones which just hang off the studs so dont centre.
The best solution would be to have a set of spacers made with a lip for the wheel to locate on, (hubcentric spacers) All I'd need to know was the centrebore of the wheel...

That sounds ideal. I'm not bothered about spacing the wheel out further, more fitting the spiggot ring to ensure the wheel fits tightly around the hub centre. If I gave you the measurement of the outer diameter (the 18" wheel centre) and the inner diameter (hub centre) of the spiggot rings I need could you supply them?

Did you say they were genuine 2008 audi quattro alloys? You will need the spiggot rings. Even though the wheel bolts will hold the wheel tight against the disc, they will not 100% centralise the wheel on the hub, causing the car to vibrate at speed. I know that the hub diameter on your car is 57.1 mm, im not sure on the new models? I will try to find out.

Will more than likely be able to obtain them for you?

Yes a 2008 s-line. The newest shape one. The guy reckons his is the first s-line in the UK. If you could find out, that would be grate. I will try and borrow some verniers to measure it with.

Yeah, if you could get me the centrebore of the wheel, that'd be fine. I've got a B6 hub so my engineer can machine them to fit that.
