    Hi eveyone,
I have been having trouble with my 2.0 16V coupe as some of you may have seen in previous threads

Things have got a little better but still not right. The car starts and runs now but has a slight lag when you accelerate. As the car hets hotter this proble increases and eventually looses all acceleration even when the pedal is completely on the floor the engine will cut out randomly.

If anyone has any ideas what could be the cause of the problem please let me know as I dont really want to have to pay Audi lots of money to fix it.

    Cheers for any help recieved

    Hi Mate,

    My acceleration problem was intermittent.

Suggest you try replacing the Fuel Pump relay for £10 which powers more than just the fuel pump and check the nuts / wires, running to the relay, are OK.

On my B5 1999 APU 1.8T Passat the relay is numbered 372 per the attached but if you have a relay numbered "409" (instead?), you might like to check that also.
