Sorry guys I have yet another question about some alloys I'm looking towards, just wondering does anyone have pics of a Golf V with some 17 Inch RS4's preferably without being lowered? I really need to see what they would look like.

Also any recommendations for places to pick up a good set around the UK would be much appreiated

Cheers mate I was checking out wheelbase actually, do you know if these reps are European or are they Far Eastern of origin?

I spoke to a local alloy dealer and asked him where his alloys were made, he replied Italy. I asked him how can you guarantee that? He then said his new style rs4 alloys have 'Made in Italy' marked on the inside, is that a reasonable answer? Is there any other way to tell where the alloys were produced?

Just want to be sure I'm getting either Italian reps or Germans as I've heard they're higher quality reps.

Italy is one of the biggest producers of alloy wheels in the world. any made there should be stamped on the inside rim. i doubt if an english company would import from the far east anyway. the shipping and tax would exceed their retail price than if they were coming from italy.

just throw wheelbase an email and they will let you know the alloys origins.

why are you not going for 18's

17's wont do it for the mk5. trust me i tried it before then i switched to 18" rs6's
