    Hi Folks

i own a 1999 Bora 2.0 and recently I have noticed it is down on power and feels a bit like its running on kangaroo juice...I am working through the usual suspects of items to try.
1st on my list is new sparkplugs, now being a noob with a Bora and no real mechanical skills would you advise somebody who isn't really that skilled to be changing plugs on this car. It seems i would possibly have to move the inlet manifold to get at the spark plugs.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

spark plugs can easily be replaced, just take care not to force them because they can snap on the inside and you'll then be looking at a huge bill to get them removed! so my advice is try it yourself first but do it carefully!

Thank you for the reply, it's not the changing of the plugs thats scary....its trying to get past the inlet manifold with big fat hands that worries me!

Spark plugs changed and all is well with the car now...one of the plugs was completely black, covered in unburnt fuel and carbon from the engine.

It looked like quite a tricky job if you didn't have the correct tools.
Anyway without the tools I couldn;t do the job but know a man than can! power and fuel consumption are back to normal now
