    hi there,
You still looking for a Diesel dump valve for a golf?

and does it have to be a vacuum control unit of can it be a TPS (Throttle position sensor) type, meaning wired connection.

I have a TPS for a golf at present and fitting kit for a Golf.
It is fitted to my Fabia VRS at present and sounds great, but originally (hence the fitting kit) it was mounted on a Golf TDi.

If still interested PM me and lets discuss money...

    Neil

ps I have all instructions for installation on the Golf too.

I think you can buy devices that will mimick a dump valve noise for a TDI, but it will obviously not be a good thing to use a normal working dump valve.

And why Do you think it is not a good idea to use a Dump vlave on a TDi.

I know plenty of people that have fitted them not for a performance change as they will not increase performance but just for a noise and styling point of view. TDi engines (all VAG group) come as standard with a sort of dump vales but it just doesn't dump to atmosphere.

Therefore all TDi's have one fittted as standard anyway so they cant be bad for the engine...

Anyhow everyone is different on their requirements on the ir cars. I just want to sell my Dump valve as am changing direftion with engine mods now and not required.

    Nope.

TDI's do not have a dump valve of any sort fitted. The turbo simply returns to a low boost position.

Retrofitting a dump valve to a TDI is a pointless modification. Unless of course you think have the woosh noise is worth that expense.

Anyone would be much better off doing some proper modifications first, like upgrading your brakes, suspension or even having a re-map. At least that way you would have some gain for money other than a woosh noise.

Yes Stupidly I did the purchase of the Dump valve and regretted later on.
However I have the larger brakes, the full exhaust the PD160 intake and pipercross filter, also remapped to 170bhp from my 1.9TDI Fabia vrs.
rear ARB and eibach springs fitted.
So fortunately I woke up to the fact a dump vlave does nothing... except whooosh... In fact if you are having a remap then the dump valve actually decreses some of the power gians.

Oh and thanks I got the waste gate and the dump vlave mixed up so yes TDi's do not have a dV on them at all...
