alarm siren

after soldering new batteries inside my siren it is still chirping when i lock up the car . im wondering if a siren from a mark 5 golf would be the same as the connection is same type and i can get hold of this from a crash damaged car .

I don't know, but I am in the same position as you- wanting to put a B6 alarm on a B5 car. I got one for £14 but getting the battery out to access the siren is a major rave to find it doesn't fit or work. The connector looks the same shape and has three pins on the new one, can you remember how many on your current siren?

3 pins, bosche type connector . getting the battery out isnt too difficult really if you pull back the wiring loom out the way, you can also take the 2 heater matrix hoses off to gain acess to the siren and leave the battery in place.

Just Rang The Dealers Today , This Alarm Siren Is Only £20.50 Plus Vat . I Can Recall Someone On Here Stating They Were £118 Plus £35 Fitting. Im Now Wondering If That Price Was For A Complete System .
