Just had my car VAGCOM and I cross checking the part number from the below error. It seems the gearbox speed sensor is "dead" encased inside the expensive ECU. Car drives fine, no error codes on DIS but should I change the ECU at this time?

Address 02: Auto Trans Labels: 01J-927-156.lbl
    Part No SW: 8E0 910 155 K HW: 01J 927 156 HH

    Revision: 00000004 Serial number: 00000000462115
    Coding: 0000001
    Shop #: WSC 00999 444 64523
    1 Fault Found:

    RPM: 800 /min
    RPM: 60 /min

    Torque: 22.0 Nm
    Temperature: 59.0°C
    T.B. Angle: 0.0°
    Bin. Bits: 1000 0 1

Also what do the below codes mean as I cannot see any sensors inside the car which belong to an alarm system.

Testing the car more and more I noticed a noise when one turns the steering wheel to pull away. Doesnt happen if your going straight but for left and right turns you can hear this clunk noise. Is this normal or is something worn like drop links or wishbones.

This one will stump you all as I have no idea what the hell the noise was. Driving along normally went to adjust my rear view mirror and heard two mechanical noises. First from RHD then LHD but not as loud as the first time. Sounded like a robotic arm of some sort and figured it could be the headlight washers but I dont have them. Anyone have any ideas what the noise could be and if its dangerous

Lastly if I drive over 60mph it seems there is quite a bit of feedback from the steering wheel. I had both front tires balanced and its still present but not as bad. Could it be the cheap tires I am using as I checked all wheel bearings which are fine.

    Billion thanks!

    J

The fault codes in the central convinence system are there to tell you what sensors have set off the alarm.

The clunking noise you hear could due to using non oem parts for your brakes, I had the same noise when driving forward or reverse as i pressed the brakes or took off after using brakes. Local specialist checked ad found play in the pads poss discs, Changed for genuine ones and noise was gone. hope this helps

I will get my brakes checked out but it happens without me applying brakes.
