    Hi All,

I have had my A4 serviced today by an independent and they reset the service display (had 200mls left) but it now shows ---mls ---days, just dashes no numbers??

Will this sort itself out after driving for a while??

    Cheers

    Ahh ok thanks for that
I have been reading up on longlife servicing and it seems as if the oil is measured in the sump for quality to set the service intervals?

I guess with mine running LPG it should be longer than usual as at oil changes mine comes out the same as it went in!

Give it 200-500 miles and it will reset it self...

More than likely will will go on the variable service rather than the long life unless they used the like of VAG-COM etc..

if it comes back reporting that a service is due in 8000 miles to 12,000 miles they have just reset it via the standard cluster reset..

That not a problem... just take a note of the mileage and date and arrange to re-service in 2 years or 20k miles..

When it next alerts you that a service is due, hold the SERVICE button and trip reset and turn the ignition to reset it again.

    Cheers

    Rick
