    Hi, i have an Audi 80 L reg and have been told i need a CV joint replacing. Any one know how long it takes to replace one and what signs it shows that this is going and needs replacing. Also a rough idea of prices

    It takes about an hour or two if you have an idea what you are doing and want to do it yourself... prob bit quicker with a garage. I can't quite remember how much I got the parts for, but I think max 100euro for the CV joint with boot and grease included. It's a pretty straightforward job to do... and best is to have a look at the Haynes (or etc) manual for the Audi 80 (only goes up to 1991 model, but the same joint as far as I remember).

    If you not so comfortable doing it yourself, then check around the prices with some garages.
