Hi all, i just wonder if anyone has come across this problem before, i have a a4 b6 with dual zone climate control a/c, i just brought a new climate unit as the front of the original one was all scratched, however on fitting the new one i was unable to switch off the econ mode and have the air con on, the old unit works fine, econ mode turns on and off ok, do i have a faulty unit or is there anything i can try?, it's not too much of an issue as i can make one good one from the pair as i only need the front pannel, oh the part numbers are the same on both units the only difference being the new one drops to 16 c and the old one 18c, any help gratefuly recieved.

You could try plugging the old unit back in...

As you know.. it only takes 10 minutes to remove the radio and the cilmate control panel..

That way you know if its a "car" issue or the unit,.

    Cheers

    Rick

The old unit works fine, so that pretty much sorts that, i have taken them to bits and maid one good one with a brand new front that works fine, so got what i was looking for, just a shame the so called new one looks to be faulty.
