    what car/engine exactly?
a pd may suffer but an earlier one would probably be ok after a while,
although it will run like a bag a hammers for a while.

I would think it would be ok, diesels of that age are fairly hardy and not as sensitive as modern up to date ones.

Audi will recommend you change near enough everything, but you will probably get away with a new fuel filter, tank drain and a full tank for diesel.

    Hi there
Yes I did it to my wife's golf diesel 50/50 mix, Oh the shame!? we got home, just, it seemed to foam and cut out for a while and then restart as if no problem. I drained down into my nearly full heating oil tank, replaced the filter and refilled. No lasting damage to car, or heating, but same can't be said for my reputation.
