    hi wondered if some 1 could help me out my hood has been playing up lately when i pull the button 2 take it down the red hood light on the dash flashes iv found a fix to make it work i have to open and slam the boot then when i pull the hood button it works the light on the dash stays red on dont flas and the hood works fine but everytime i open my boot it plays up again got a feeling something in the boot like the lock aint telling the car the boot is closed proper many thanks if u could help me out on this

    Hi, i'm new here too. I think the problem is down to one or both of the looms on the underside of the boot lid being cracked/broken where they bend near the boot hinges - a common problem and causes all sorts of weird faults. Replace looms at £100 each from Audi or cut and repair.

    I've just asked this at my local $tealer..not on the dialog system - which means you pay up front for them to make one? and cost £395 + VAT
    2010 S4 in exclusive classic red and every option under the sun...as well as my 80 cabriolet 2.6e auto fun day car...not forgetting a slightly Smashed but saved waiting for some repairs 01.5 B5 A4 2.4SE Tip - Votex body kit, Hidden Microwave PDC, Pirelli X-Pressure TPMS, Hardwired Bel RX65e, Lamp Guards...and the exclusive Red Logo Audi Sport Valve Stem Caps!

    thank yu had 1 of those repleaced last year coz my back light wasnt working proper.....what a nightmare

    thats not bad just got my reciept out from audi loom was £107 and labour was £75

    On the same year and engine?? 94/95, 2.6 Auto with e/roof.....not got numbers for them have you....my local still say 390 odd one side 160 the other, parts only

    Cactus, same engine 2.6 on a '96 but manual roof - that's maybe the difference, but phone around i was surprised at the difference in price between dealers, one quoted £165 for the same thing....
