Is there anyone in the Aberdeen area that has VAGcom and would be willing to diagnostic my two sick Audis (A3 & S8)? Would be very grateful for help

    Cheers

    Hi Moray,

Yeah, I have Vag-Com and work in Aberdeen. I can certainly hook up and see whats being thrown up by them for you! Only problem is my laptop battery is goosed, so either need a power point nearby or if you have a laptop we could install it on your and use the lead!

Let me know what you think bud.

    heya,
i'd be interested in getting my A3 read with vagcom, but i'm new at this and i was actually looking for info on how to get it on my laptop and do it myself. Is it worth doing myself, how would i get it and what the costs? Any help would be great
    thanks

I think the forum member, Eshrules-Enterprises is still running a group buy, I think the cost of the cable is £13.49.

Then comes the dear bit... the fully licensed version of the 409 software is $99. What year is your A3? If it's a late model you may be looking at the 704 version, which I don't know the cost of. But the shareware version is free so that might cheer you up!

    hey! cheers for quick reply,
    I've got a 99reg A3 1.8T Quattro.
I'll look up the shareware version before i fork out any cash, but i'll see about getting the cable since its not much to pay.
    thanks!

    Morning Paul

Really appreciate you getting back to me.

Apologies for the delay in responding. I'd appreciate getting the S8 diagnosed, it's still unwell. The A3 ground to a halt last week so had to bite the bullet and take it to Audi.

I've sent you a PM with my contact details.

    Regards
    Moray

Just to clear up the confusion, the 409 software will in fact be fine for you. That costs 99$.
