noisey turbo

hi all, i visited my ******* yesterday for a oil+filter change on my golf 2.0 gt tdi 140.. after having an argument about them wanting to charge me £198.
i then mentioned the pricematch promise they were advertising and ended up doing for £86.. while waiting they came back out saying my pads and disk were shot to bits, so they changed them at total cost £305 which i thought was pricey anyway my point is in the paper work given the machanic has said it has a Noisey Turbo what could this be ???
any help would be gladly received thanks
oh and i have been using a superchips bluefin which is very impressive..

Noisy turbo’s on the BKD are very common, especially (but not confined to) cars which have been chipped/mapped/boxed. Depending on how bad it is, it may fail in the not too distant future.

thanks for you replie, would you recomend a service on the turbo and have you any idea what cost i'd be looking at ???

A new VAG unit at £1200 plus fitting but they may have introduced an exchange by now.
